Keyword monitoring

Control what your visitors see

The page content is analyzed on every check, on top of the status code.

Expected keyword

Choose text that must appear on the page, such as "Add to cart" or your product name.

Forbidden keyword

Or, conversely, text that must never appear: "Fatal error", "Maintenance", "Database connection".

Every HTTP option

Method, headers, authentication, accepted codes and redirects, just like website monitoring.

Response saved

The beginning of the response is saved with the failure, so you instantly understand what the page was showing.

Three regions

Content is checked from Paris, Amsterdam and Warsaw, so regional cache or CDN issues are caught too.

Degraded alerts

Combine the keyword with a slowness threshold: a slow but correct page is flagged without waking anyone up.

Pricing

Questions

Keyword monitoring FAQ

How is it different from regular HTTP monitoring?

HTTP monitoring checks that the page responds; keyword monitoring also checks its content. A maintenance page or an error shown with a 200 code gets caught.

Can I check that some text does not appear?

Yes, each monitor can require the keyword to be present or absent.

Does it work on JavaScript-rendered pages?

The check reads the HTML response from the server, without running JavaScript. For a single-page application, monitor its API with a JSON API monitor instead.

How many keywords per page?

One keyword per monitor. Create several monitors on the same page to check several elements.
